About Brown Aviation Strategies

Preparing Communities for the Future of Aviation Through Research, Education, and Strategic Guidance

Brown Aviation Strategies (BAS) is an independent aviation research and strategy institute dedicated to helping airports, municipalities, transportation agencies, and community leaders prepare for the future of aviation. We translate complex aviation topics into clear, practical guidance that supports informed decision-making, responsible planning, and long-term community success.

 Why Brown Aviation Strategies Exists

Aviation is entering one of the most transformative periods in its history. Advanced Air Mobility, electric aircraft, evolving FAA regulations, changing infrastructure needs, and emerging transportation technologies are reshaping the aviation landscape.

Yet many organizations responsible for planning these changes lack access to objective, understandable information that connects federal policy, industry trends, and local decision-making.

Brown Aviation Strategies was created to bridge that gap. Our mission is to help decision-makers understand what is changing, why it matters, and how to prepare with confidence

Our Methodology

Every recommendation we make follows a disciplined, research-first process. Rather than beginning with predetermined solutions, we begin with evidence: transforming research into knowledge, knowledge into education, and education into practical strategic guidance.
